Our Story
It all started back in Beautiful Whirld. JL believed that music had the power to bring people together, regardless of their background, story, or where they were in life. With that vision in his heart, he began playing free music during lunchtime in downtown Warren—simply using the gift God had given him to serve people and bring something meaningful to the city.
During that journey, JL stumbled upon Beautiful Whirld, a local restaurant owned by Clint and Mary. He reached out to them through Instagram, not knowing that one simple message would become the beginning of something much bigger.
As their friendship grew, JL discovered that Clint and Mary carried a similar heart for the community. Cooking is their passion, and they wanted to use that gift to serve others. Mary also has a deep love for people and a heart for praying with those she meets.
Soon, their different gifts began coming together.
Music became worship.
Cooking became ministry.
A meal became fellowship.
Prayer became connection.
And a table became a place to belong.
That shared heart became part of what TWLVE: The City Table is today.
Every third Tuesday of the month, the community is invited to gather around the table for a beautiful meal offered freely, followed by worship, prayer, the Word, and genuine fellowship. No one is expected to pay. No one has to have everything figured out. Everyone is invited to come as they are.
TWLVE isn't about one person or one gift. It's about people bringing what God has placed in their hands and using it together to love and serve the city.
It started with a vision, a song, a meal, a prayer, and a simple yes.
And the vision continues:
To unite the community.
To serve the city.
To make room for God.
And to remind people that there is always a seat at the table.
